Search and recovery

Recoveries are typically carried out by harnessing the entire vessel with lifting balloons. Once on the surface, depending on the situation, the vessel is either emptied and brought back to floatation or towed to the nearest hauling basin or slipway.

In the recovery of large vessels, we utilize the assistance of pontoons or self-propelled cranes depending on the intervention locations.

Our operators meticulously inspect the hull to identify any potential leaks. Once identified, the leaks are sealed, and lifting straps are positioned for the hoisting. Once the vessel is brought to the surface, pumps are positioned to empty it.

Sub Genova also offers the service of search and recovery of lost anchors.

The search is conducted using state-of-the-art equipment and, if necessary, with the use of underwater ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles).

After locating the anchor, we handle the recovery either using lifting balloons if feasible or with the assistance of a floating pontoon and lifting crane.
